Lobbypedia ( suitcase word from lobbyism and Wikipedia ) is a lobby-critical online dictionary operated by LobbyControl eV . In the lobby media, knowledge is collected and organized about the influence of various actors on politics and the public.

overview

The Lobbypedia is operated by LobbyControl eV and financed by sponsoring members, donations and donations. The project went online on October 28, 2010 and at the beginning of 2020 contained almost 900 pages of content. The website runs with the freely available software MediaWiki .

Editorial principle and cooperation

Registered authors write new or change existing articles in the lobby media. Registration as an author can be requested from LobbyControl eV. Editors or administrators of Lobbycontrol eV view changes and new contributions and design the portal pages.

Grimme Online Award 2012

A year and a half after it was founded, the Lobbypedia won the Grimme Online Award 2012. The jury justified the award with the following words:

“[...] The influence of social groups on political actors is too great, and the links between politics and business seem too close. “Lobbypedia” has set itself the task of making the hidden structures of lobbyism visible and tangible. [...] "
