Loch Long is a fjord-like bay on the west coast of Scotland in the Northwest Highlands . In Scotland these bays are called sea lochs and denote lakes that are fed by sea water.
Loch Long flows into Loch Duich and Loch Alsh near the small village of Dornie . Loch Long is less than 100 meters wide at its narrowest point and around 7 kilometers long in its southwest-northeast orientation. The bank has hardly been developed in terms of infrastructure and is only populated by a few homesteads.
