Lodderstedt is a desert near Gerbstedt in Saxony-Anhalt . It is located on the Lodderstedter ponds in a hollow about 2.5 kilometers north of Gerbstedt. Remains of the church can still be found.

Lodderstedt originally means residential towns of Lothar .

history

  • Lodderstedt was probably founded around 500.
  • After the battle of Welfesholz around 1115, the village is said to have been plundered and burned along with Nisselsdorf , Rote Welle , Wesenstedt, Milrode and Disdorf.
  • The place probably went under due to the Halberstedter bishop's feud.
  • Around 1390 the place Loderstede is described as a desert.
  • In 1560 the church was partially demolished.
