Rote Welle (also Rotewelle) is a desert near Sandersleben (Anhalt) in Saxony-Anhalt . Today only ruins can be found of the place, some date from more recent times, when the village no longer existed.

Rote Welle is located in a valley 2.3 km north of the village of Welfesholz in the valley of the stream of the same name .

After the Battle of Welfesholz in 1115, Rote Welle was looted and burned together with the villages of Lodderstedt , Nisselsdorf , Milrode , Wesenstedt and Disdorf.
