Milrode

Milrode is a desert in a hollow east of Hettstedt. It was an insignificant cleared settlement .

history

  • After the Battle of Welfesholz in 1115, Milrode was looted and burned together with the villages of Lodderstedt , Nisselsdorf , Rote Welle , Wesenstedt and Disdorf.
  • In 1278 Count Walter von Arnstein enfeoffed the Wiederstedt monastery with the village of Mölrode together with three men there and with accessories, also with two farms and three Hufen in Wiederstedt and three men in Polleben and Großörner .
  • In 1298 the village Mylrode wood , today's Lange Holz , is called.
  • On July 22nd, 1439, the Wettin and Schwarzburger troops set up a field camp in Mylrode .
