Log (unit)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Log was a measure of volume for liquids and is considered an ancient Hebrew measure. The volume is said to have been the equivalent of six medium-sized chicken eggs. It is already mentioned in the Bible in the 3rd book of Moses.

  • 1 log = 0.29 liters (0.2792 liters calculated from the relationships in the dimensional chain)
  • 12 Log = 1 Hin = 1.66 Issaron = 3 Cab

The dimensional chain was:

  • 720 Log = 180 Kab = 100 Issaron = 60 Hin = 30 Seah = 10 Bath / Epha = 2 Letech = 1 Cor / (C) homer = 201 liters (equivalent to 4320 eggs )
