Logical-semantic propaedeutics

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The introduction to the logical and semantic foundations of philosophy is referred to as logical-semantic propaedeutics or logical propaedeutics .

In this form the impetus in the German-speaking area was the Logical Propaedeutic by Wilhelm Kamlah and Paul Lorenzen (1967/1973), which was conceived as a “preschool of rational speech” and is considered an introduction to the philosophy of methodical constructivism . In 1983 Ernst Tugendhat and Ursula Wolf took up the idea and presented a “Logical-Semantic Propaedeutic”, which in terms of content differs from Kamlah / Lorenzen by offering an introduction to analytical philosophy . In 2001 the Lorenzen student Peter Janich presented a logical-pragmatic propaedeutic . It is considered an introduction to the philosophy of methodological culturalism .
