The brook, commonly known as Lohbach , is an officially unnamed body of water in Dortmund and has its source in the Schwerter Wald in the Aplerbecker Mark . It is an orographically left tributary of the Hörder Bach .
After a short curve in the Schwerter area, it flows north to Berghofen and then turns west. Shortly before Rubinstrasse, the Hengstbach flows to the left. In the further course the brook lies in a strip of forest and swamp area, where a nameless brook flows to the left (at km 2.7). Here the stream also gives its name to the streets Am Lohbach , In der Lohwiese and Am Lohbachhang . Shortly before the street An der Goymark it flows from the left into the Hörder Bach.
