Lohse is an impact crater on the front of the moon on the eastern edge of Mare Fecunditatis , south of Langrenus crater and west of Lamé . The crater is heavily eroded and has a central mountain .

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German astronomer Wilhelm Oswald Lohse .
