Lok Sabha constituency of Bangalore City

The Lok Sabha constituency of Bangalore City was a constituency in the elections for Lok Sabha , the lower house of the Indian parliament , from 1957 to 1962 . It belonged to the state of Mysore and included the city of Bangalore .

In the first Lok Sabha election in 1951, Bangalore and the surrounding area were still divided into the constituencies of Bangalore North and Bangalore South . For the Lok Sabha election in 1957, the former constituencies Bangalore North and Bangalore South became the new constituencies Bangalore City and Bangalore . In the run-up to the 1967 Lok Sabha election, the constituency of Bangalore City was dissolved. The city of Bangalore was now part of the newly formed constituency of Bangalore.
