Constituency history

A constituency of Bangalore North already existed in the first Lok Sabha election in 1951. In the run-up to the Lok Sabha election in 1957, the constituencies were reorganized. The new constituencies Bangalore and Bangalore City emerged from the former constituencies of Bangalore North and Bangalore South . For the 1977 Lok Sabha election, the constituency of Bangalore North was re-established. It was created by dividing the constituency of Bangalore into the constituencies of Bangalore North and Bangalore South. When the constituencies were reorganized in the run-up to the 2009 election, the constituency of Bangalore North was redesigned. He gave part of his area to the constituency of Chikballapur and the newly established constituency of Bangalore Central . At the same time, the constituency of Bangalore North was added to a smaller part of the area of ​​the constituency of Bangalore South.
