The local railway Čerčan – Modřan – Dobříš (Czech: Místní dráha Čerčany – Modřany – Dobříš ) was a local railway guaranteed by the state of Bohemia in today's Czech Republic . The company's railway area was located south of the Czech capital, Prague . The company was based in Prague.

history

On March 4, 1895, the concession to build and operate a standard gauge local railway from Modřan to Čerčan with a branch from Měchenitz to Dobříš was granted. The company's share capital totaled 3,168,400 crowns . 400 ordinary shares at 13,202 kroner each and 400 priority shares at 2,640 kroner each were issued.

In the years 1897 and 1900 the routes were opened in sections.

The operation was carried out by the kk Austrian State Railways (kkStB) on behalf of the local railway Čerčan – Modřan – Dobříš . After the First World War, the newly founded Czechoslovak State Railways ČSD took the place of the kkStB .

On January 1, 1925, the Čerčan – Modřan – Dobříš local railway was nationalized by law and the lines were integrated into the ČSD network.

Locomotives

The kkStB acquired five class 97 locomotives on behalf of the local railway Čerčan – Modřan – Dobříš . The locomotives had the road numbers 97.110–111, 164–165 and 216.
