London After Midnight ( LAM for short ) is a rock band from Los Angeles / USA , which was founded around 1990 by the singer Sean Brennan.
history
1995 saw the release of the first album, Selected Scenes from the End of the World , on which songs like Revenge , Sacrifice and Your Best Nightmare were immortalized. Psycho Magnet followed a year later , on which u. a. Where Good Girls Go to Die , Kiss , Ruins or Shatter (All My Dead Friends) can be heard.
These two albums, which immediately made them an insider tip, were followed by Oddities and the video Innocence Lost . In early 2003, the first two albums were newly released , digitally remastered with posters, new artwork and new, previously unreleased bonus tracks.
On October 26, 2007, the so far last studio album Violent Acts of Beauty was released. A demo version of the song Fear could already be heard on the official soundtrack for Saw II , released in 2005 .
LAM are officially committed to veganism , support animal welfare and the development of animal rights, encourage their fans to attend the elections and generally represent a politically liberal attitude.
style
Despite individual Gothic Rock songs like the track Shatter (All My Dead Friends) , and certain parallels and frequent comparisons, LAM keep emphasizing that they are not a Gothic Rock band. Rather, parallels to hard rock , alternative rock and death rock can be seen in the overall work . With the new work Violent Acts of Beauty, the band changed their style towards Synth Rock / Crossover .
