London Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games
The London Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) was responsible for planning and organizing the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in London in 2012 . It was created on October 3rd, 2005 by the UK Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the British Olympic Association and the Mayor of London . The LOCOG had the legal form of a private company limited by guarantee and worked closely with the public Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA). The LOCOG was based in the One Churchill Place building on Canary Wharf .
