Loogfels A

The Loogfels A is to designate a rock with notches that have been made to a border. It is located west of the Rhineland-Palatinate village of Forst on the Weinstrasse at the entrance to the Margarethental in the Palatinate Forest . At this point the border between Forst an der Weinstrasse and Deidesheim runs , it changes its direction here almost at right angles. Loogfels A is listed as an individual monument in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate's list of monuments .

Designations

The following signs can be found on the boulder:

  • The year 1770
  • The large cross, extended by a crossbar, is the Deidesheimer Waldloogzeichen
  • The small cross stands for forest
  • The unequal-sided cross denotes a border point
  • The characters A and a are numbering
