A Lorcha is a sailing ship with a European hull and Chinese rigging . The ship was mainly used by British traders after the First Opium War . The Second Opium War is also known as the Lorcha War .

• Vung Tau shipwreck , a Chinese shipwreck of the Qing dynasty ( Kangxi period around 1690), which was found in 1989 off the island of Hòn Cau , Côn Đảo islands, and from which Mike Hatcher made about 60,000 artifacts in1990–92, mainly Chinese porcelain were recovered.
