Lord Elibank

Lord Elibank , of Etrick Forest in the County of Selkirk is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Scotland .

Award

The title was created on March 18, 1643 for Sir Patrick Murray, 1st Baronet . This was already on May 16, 1628 in the Baronetage of Nova Scotia to the Baronet , of Elibank in the County of Selkirk, was raised.

His descendant, the 10th Lord, was raised on July 3, 1911 in the Peerage of the United Kingdom to Viscount Elibank , of Elibank in the County of Selkirk. This title expired on the death of his younger son, the 3rd Viscount, in 1962, while the Lordship and Baronetcy fell to his third cousin as the 13th Lord. Today's title holder is his cousin, Alan Erskine-Murray as the 14th Lord.
