Lord Lyle
Lord Lyle was a hereditary British title ( Lordship of Parliament ) in the Peerage of Scotland .
The title was probably bestowed on Sir Robert Lyle , Lord of Duchal Castle in Renfrewshire , by King James II around 1452 . This title was first documented on September 5, 1452, and in 1454 he took part in parliament for the first time .
The title expired with the death of his great-grandson, the 4th Lord, around 1551.
