Lorenz Lampl

Lorenz Andreas Lampl (born January 17, 1955 in Fürstenfeldbruck ) is a German physician and retired senior physician; from 1998 to 2018 he was Clinical Director of the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at the Bundeswehr Hospital in Ulm .

Life

Lorenz Lampl studied human medicine from 1974 to 1981 at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and at the University of Vienna . At the end of the course in 1981 the doctorate followed . He then joined the Bundeswehr as a conscript medical officer. After completing his training as a specialist at the Bundeswehr Hospital in Ulm and at the Ulm University Clinic , he obtained a specialist qualification as an anesthesiologist in 1985. In 1986 he was appointed senior physician and in 1998 senior physician in the department for anesthesiology and intensive care medicine at the Bundeswehr Hospital in Ulm. In 1994 he completed his habilitation and received the venia legendi for the field of anesthesiology. He has oneExtraordinary professorship at Ulm University. On July 31, 2018, Lorenz Lampl retired.

His scientific focus lies in the areas of preclinical emergency care with a focus on traumatology and hyperbaric therapy in intensive care medicine.

Lampl took part in seven military missions abroad .
