Lorenzo Batlle y Gray
Lorenzo Cristóbal Manuel Batlle y Grau (born August 10, 1810 in Montevideo , † May 8, 1887 ibid) was a Uruguayan politician from the Partido Colorado . He was Minister of War during the siege of Montevideo. From 1868 to 1872 he was President of the Republic of Uruguay. His son José Batlle y Ordóñez became President of Uruguay in 1903.
