career

Mazzucco, who was particularly known for his outstanding jumping ability and his good header game, was one of the most important players of the predecessor club of the Uruguayan Club Atlético Peñarol , which at that time was still under the name Central Uruguay Railway Cricket Club (CURCC) . According to Luciano Álvarez , he joined the club in 1897 (other sources list him as part of the team as early as 1896) and from then on played alongside other players who had made the club's history, such as Edmundo Acebedo , William Davies and Juan Peña . At that time he and his teammates won the Copa Uruguaya in 1900, 1901, 1905 and 1907. He distinguished himself on the pitch as a leader and was famous for his cheering on fellow players in the form of a repeated: Come on, fellows!
