Lorns Olav Skjemstad (born March 10, 1940 in Inderøy ) is a former Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Skjemstad, who competed for the IL i BUL , won the 15 km run at the Holmenkollen Ski Festival in 1965 . The following year he was eighth over 30 km at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1966 . In March 1966, he won third place over 50 km and second place over 15 km at the Lahti Ski Games . At the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble , he finished 11th over 30 km. At Norwegian championships he won over 30 km in 1965 and in 1970 with the relay of IL i BUL. He also came in second place in 1965 over 50 km and in 1969 over 15 km.
