Lothar Bienst (born October 26, 1956 in Teicha ) is a German politician ( CDU ). In 2009 he moved into the state parliament of Saxony , of which he was a member until 2019.

Life

Bienst finished eighth grade at the Daubitz Polytechnic School in 1971 and studied for two more years at the Extended High School in Weißwasser . His apprenticeship as an electrician followed by 1975. In the same year he became a teacher at the Boxberg power plant , and until 1977 he did alternative military service in Basdorf. In 1977 he completed a course to obtain the higher education entrance qualification in Lübbenau . He then studied at the engineering college in Zittau until 1981 , where he graduated with a degree in electrical power supply.

From 1981 he worked as a vocational school teacher in Boxberg. During this time, from 1983 to 1985, he obtained a pedagogical degree at the TU Dresden . Since 1999 he has been working as a specialist consultant for energy technology.

Lothar Bienst is married and has two children, he is a Protestant.

politics

Bienst joined the CDU in 1998. He is a member of the district council of the Görlitz district . In the state elections in 2009 , he entered the Saxon state parliament via the direct mandate in the constituency of Lower Silesian Oberlausitz 1 . He was a member of the school and sports committee, school policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group (working group chairman) and a member of the petitions committee.
