Lothar Doster

Lothar Doster (born May 16, 1950 in Affaltrach ) is a former German high jumper .

In 1971 he was fourth at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Sofia with 2.14 m and was eliminated from the qualification at the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki . Overall, he started ten times in the national jersey. At the military world championships in 1971 he won the title with 2.10 m.

In 1973 he became German champion after having been runner-up in each of the previous three years. In the hall he was runner-up in 1972 and third in 1973.

He set his personal outdoor best of 2.17 m on August 15, 1970 in Autun .

The 1.83 m tall Lothar Doster started for the LG Heilbronn and moved to SV Salamander Kornwestheim in 1971 . Doster is a trained insurance salesman.
