Greil was a functionary of the Hitler Youth (HJ) and SS-Untersturmführer in the “ Third Reich ” . Publications

Greil articles published several times in the Independent News (UN) and in the Huttenbriefe . In his books, including titles such as Marzabotto, term of an infamous world deception: buried alive in Gaeta: Major Walter Reder, victim of Italian “peace politics”. A documentation (three editions until 1977), Colonel of the Waffen SS Joachim Peiper and the Malmedy Trial (five editions until 1980) and Gloria mundi. Invasion 1944. Last major battle against enemy and treason. Der toten Deutschen Tatenruhm (1984) with an appendix That was the Waffen-SS: a contribution to the history of the troops / documents Historical truth: Lidice - Oradour - Malmedy - Marzabotto - The Siebken case / Rank badge of the Waffen-SS , he devoted himself to First and foremost, the glorification of the Schutzstaffel and the denial or relativization of their crimes such as the massacres in Lidice (Czech Republic) in 1942, Marzabotto (Italy), Oradour-sur-Glane (France) and Malmedy (Belgium) (all 1944).

In 2002 an 80-page booklet was published entitled To be or not to be. German fateful years 1918–1945 , which is dedicated to “the deceived generations of the post-war period since 1945”. It should "relieve the young reader - but also the insecure or misinformed 'elderly" - from having to go through entire libraries in order to find out the whole truth ". For Greil, this means that Germany was driven into the Second World War by a “game of provocation by the enemies of Germany” and that it was only able to save itself from the “ Bolshevik world revolution” with a preventive strike. The brochure was published by the “State Chancellery” of the “United States of the German East in the German Reich” in Hamburg and distributed by the “Community of German East” in Augsburg.

In other works, especially the book Slavic Legend , which is still widespread today . The German victims of a mistaken view of history. Enlightenment documentation , he took on older approaches such as Walther Steller and tried with more or less skilful distortions of facts and misinterpretations to prove that the Slavs are actually East Germans . Both editions of this book were published by Volkstum-Verlag in 1971 and 1972, as well as other of his works .
