Lothar Mittag (* 1956 in Stendal ) is a German restorer and author .

Life

The Zethlingen Longobard Workshop

Mittag did an apprenticeship as a chemical technician and from 1988 to 1992 he completed a distance learning course at the University of Applied Sciences for Technology and Economics in Berlin, which he completed as a graduate restorer for archaeological excavations. He has been working at the Johann Friedrich Danneil Museum in Salzwedel since 1987, where he is responsible for the museum's prehistoric and early historical collections and for the Zethlingen open-air museum , which he directs.
