Lotte Meckauer

Lotte Meckauer , née Peiser, (* 1894 in Breslau , † 1971 in Munich ) was a German writer .

Meckauer celebrated early success as a soubrette . After her marriage to the writer Walter Meckauer , she accompanied her husband on study trips abroad. She developed her own writing talent late.

In 1961, together with her husband and daughter, she published the volume Schlangenfraß and electron music , which also contains a number of limericks she wrote .

Her daughter Brigitte (1925–2014) was married to the Buchenwald survivor Rolf Kralovitz (1925–2015). The common family grave is located in the Munich North Cemetery .
