Lotty Wohlwend (* 1965 in Niederuzwil ) is a Swiss writer , journalist and filmmaker .

Life

Lotty Wohlwend trained as a psychiatric nurse. In 1988 she switched to journalism. She has been working as a freelancer for various Swiss media since 1995. From 1994 she made her first film work and in 1995 founded videOst Frauenfeld , an association for Thurgau filmmakers / video artists.

Lotty Wohlwend wrote the book Stolen Souls together with Arthur Honegger , probably the most famous Swiss contract child . This broad-based report explores the question of how contract children have coped with their lives over the past 100 years - or not. In 2004 she made the film Turi about Arthur Honegger together with Renato Müller .

Your book SOS in Dürrenäsch describes the crash of Swissair flight 306 on September 4, 1963 in Dürrenäsch . At the same time as the book, Lotty Wohlwend began shooting the film of the same name “SOS in Dürrenäsch”. Filming was suspended for two years and resumed in autumn 2011.
