Louis Lougen OMI (* 1952 in Buffalo , New York ) is an American oblate of the Immaculate Virgin Mary .

As a schoolboy he got to know the oblates. He took his first vows in 1973 in the novitiate in Godfrey (Illinois) , the perpetual vows followed in 1976. After his ordination in 1979, he lived and worked in Brazil in parishes and in the formation of young religious. He was also a member of the leadership of the Order Province there . After his return to the USA, he was first master of novices and since 2005 provincial . On September 28, 2010 he was elected Superior General by the General Chapter of the Oblates in Rome.
