Louis Tournier

Louis Tournier (born May 8, 1828 in Geneva , † July 11, 1898 in Troinex ) was a Swiss Reformed theologian .

Life

From 1847 to 1851 Tournier studied theology at the Academy in Geneva, where he received his ordination in 1851 . From 1851 to 1852 he was vicar in Les Eaux-Vives . From 1852 to 1874 he was pastor in Geneva. From 1874 to 1898 he was a catechist at the Auditoire de Calvin .

In 1856 he was chaplain to the militia . From 1859 to 1874 he was a member of the Geneva Consistory . Tournier “did much to renew the liturgy of the ref. Geneva Regional Church 1861 at “.
