The Louis Widmer AG based in Schlieren is an internationally active Swiss cosmetics - and pharmaceutical companies in the areas of skin care and Dermatologi e . The family company was founded in September 1960 by Louis-Edouard Widmer and his son Louis-Max Widmer in Uitikon and today has subsidiaries in Germany, Austria, Finland, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. In addition, it is present in eight other countries through cooperation with exclusive representatives and partners. These include: Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Belarus, Poland, South Korea and Iran. In 2003 the company or Louis-Max Widmer won the “ Entrepreneur Of The Yearaward in the special “ Master Entrepreneur ” category , which is awarded annually by Ernst & Young in Switzerland.

Field of activity

Louis Widmer develops, produces and sells products for dermatological skin care, anti-aging , sunscreens and preparations for the treatment of wounds, acne , rosacea , scalp seborrhea and psoriasis , seborrheic dermatitis , actinic keratosis , hyperkeratosis , hyperpigmentation and herpes simplex . The company claims to be a leader in these areas. All Louis Widmer preparations are manufactured according to the guidelines for pharmaceutical products and are subject to the strictest quality standards and controls.

In April 2017, a line of fragrances that are free from 26 allergens was launched .
