Louisenstrasse 52

The house Louisenstraße 52 in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe is a listed building on Louisenstraße .

The “Zum Adler” inn was originally located on the site of the current building. As part of the construction of the Kurhaus in 1841/42, a classically remodeled spa complex was created. In the second third of the 19th century, the old inn was demolished and the current building was built. It is a three-story, plastered residential and commercial building. The corner location to the Schwedenpfad is architecturally emphasized with a tower-like corner building of four floors. The facade is structured strictly axially by the windows and on the side facing the Kurhausplatz it is decorated with stucco reliefs in window frames. The original neo-classical, cast iron balconies were removed over the course of history. The main tenant of the building is now Deutsche Bank .

A major renovation took place in 2018/19, during which the facade was renewed and stucco and painting work from the construction phase was exposed inside. The spa association of the city of Bad Homburg recognized this renovation in 2019 as one of three exemplary facade renovations in Bad Homburg. The building is protected as a cultural monument for architectural and historical reasons .
