Love Place is the fourth studio album by Japanese singer Kana Nishino . It was released in Japan on September 5, 2012 and debuted at number 2 in the first week with 167,712 units sold on the Oricon charts in Japan.
background
The year before, Nishino released her third studio album, " Thank You, Love ", which, with almost 400,000 CDs sold, did not sell as much as the previous studio album, " To Love ", which sold almost 750,000 CDs, but was still hugely successful . The first single after the third studio album was "Tatoe Donna ni ..." ( た と え ど ん な に ... ), was released in November 2011 and was awarded three times platinum for more than 750,000 legal downloads. The single followed in March 2012 with the title "Sakura, I Love You?", However, only achieved platinum status for 250,000 legal downloads and so did the following single "Watashitachi" ( 私 た ち ), which was released in May of that year, was awarded platinum for this. In June of that year they finally released the last single before the fourth studio album, "Go for It !!". This single went double platinum for 500,000 legal downloads. In contrast to their second and third studio albums, the studio album “Love Place” has no songs that have been awarded “Million” (Japanese equivalent for the award “Diamond”; you get one million units sold). In addition to two transitions (intro and outro), the B-side “Happy Half Year!” And the four previously released singles, the studio album has eight other tracks, of which “Be Strong” was released as a promo single with a music video.
Details about the album
In addition to the regular CD version, a CD + DVD version was released, which contains the music videos of the singles "Tatoe Donna ni ...", "Sakura, I Love You?", "Watashitachi", "Go for It!" And the Contains the promo single "Alright" from the studio album " Thank You, Love " with the respective making-ofs. For more than 250,000 units shipped, the album was awarded platinum by the RIAJ .
