background

The studio album To Love is Nishino's first album to be released through the Japanese music download market after it gained popularity. The singles from their first studio album Love One. hardly received any attention, except for the last two singles of this era ( Tōkutemo and Kimi ni Aitaku Naru Kara ), as well as the promo single Kimi no Koe wo , which ultimately opened the door to popularity for her, especially in the Japanese download market. Since then, all of her singles have topped the RIAJ Digital Track Charts . The single Best Friend (from the To Love era) even stayed at the top of these charts for three weeks in a row and Aitakute Aitakute , as well as Motto ... , which are also from the era, stayed at the top for two weeks in a row .

The singles Aitakute Aitakute , Best Friend , Dear ... and Headline ... were in the category Downloads with a million excellent legal for one million downloads.

Details about the album

As with their debut album, To Love is about love. With this studio album, Nishino wanted to show her changed view and understanding of love, which has changed since her debut album. In an interview with Yahoo! In Japan she described her behavior when writing a song; this is how she mentally creates images that describe the music, then she continues to invent a film with the created images from them and from this she draws the basis for a scenario in the future song.

The songwriters on this album are mostly those from their debut album. So again Sizk was responsible for the transitions, Giorgio Cancemi for the singles, Nervo for the song Hey Boy and Jeff Miyahara for the song Summer Girl .

In addition to the regular CD version, a CD / DVD version has been released that contains the music videos with the respective making-ofs of the single releases Motto ... , Dear ... , Best Friend , Aitakute Aitakute and the promo single Kimi no Koe wo (from the debut album) contains. For more than 750,000 units shipped, the album was awarded three times platinum by the RIAJ .
