Love and Theft is an American country pop band.
Band history
The three singer-songwriters of the same age drew attention to themselves through their live performances in Nashville . In 2009 they released their debut album World Wide Open , which, like their first published song Runaway , climbed to number 10 on the respective country charts. The song and album also achieved good positions in the official charts.
In 2009 the label of Love & Theft, Label Carolwood Records, was closed and the trio went to sister label Lyric Street Records. In 2010 the Walt Disney group also closed Lyric Street Records. Brian Bandas then left the trio. Eric Gunderson and Stephen Barker continued as a duo and signed a record deal with RCA Nashville (Sony Music) in August 2011.
