Loveland was a British Disco - House - band of the 1990s, whose biggest hit the 1994 single Let the Music (Lift You Up) is.
biography
The producer Paul Taylor, Mark Hadfield and Paul Waterman, son of Pete Waterman , in 1994 founded the Loveland project. As lead singer came Rachel McFarlane to the on almost all publications as feature was called.
With a new recording of the single Let the Music (Lift You Up) , on which Darlene Lewis can be heard in addition to McFarlane, it entered the English charts in April 1994 , where the song reached number 16 and thus became the band's biggest hit . This was followed by (Keep On) Shining / Hope (Never Give Up) in November of that year at number 37, I Need Somebody in January 1995 at number 21, Don't Make Me Wait the following June at number 22 and The Wonder of Love in September at number 53. On the only Loveland album The Wonder of Love , which was released in mid-1995, all chart hits are included.
McFarlane released some solo singles after Loveland's split. Taylor, Hatfield and Waterman continued to work as producers and remixers. Waterman died in a hospital in 2005 after a serious illness.
