The Lowson Memorial Parish Church is a church building of the Presbyterian Church of Scotland in the Scottish town of Forfar in the Council Area Angus . In 1971 the structure was included in the Scottish monument lists in the highest monument category A.

The Lowson Memorial Parish Church was built between 1912 and 1914. As the architect , Marshall Mackenzie from Aberdeen was responsible for the design. The leaded glass windows were created by Douglas Strachan . The building is located at the junction of Jamieson Road and Montrose Road in the east of Forfar. The cross basilica is neo-Gothic and is one of the latest neo-Gothic churches in Scotland. Various motifs have been adopted from older church buildings in Elgin , Aberdeen and St Monance . The side facades of the nave are five axes wide. On the south side, the western axis is blind. There is the protruding entrance portal with narthex and the organ room above. The squat looking crossing tower closes with a pointed helmet. The side aisles are separated by arched arcades . The nave closes with a vaulted ceiling .
