Loys Masson
Loys Masson (born December 31, 1915 in Rose Hill , Mauritius , † October 24, 1969 in Paris ) was a French writer.
Life
Masson published his first works in Mauritius. He came to France in 1939 at the start of World War II . He was temporarily a member of the Communist Party , became secretary of the National Resistance Committee and editor-in-chief of its underground magazine Les Lettres françaises .
He has written novels and short stories, poems, plays and essays. The background of several novels and short stories are his homeland Mauritius, the island of Réunion and the Pacific Ocean .
