Luís Roberto da Silva (born June 7, 1977 in Uai Oli , Baucau , East Timor ) is an East Timorese politician. He is a member of the Kmanek Haburas Unidade Nasional Timor Oan (KHUNTO).

Career

Silva in Parliament (2019)

Silva is a civilian employee in the public service.

At KHUNTO, Silva first became the third Vice Secretary-General, later first Vice, before resigning from the party presidium in March 2020.

In 2017, in the parliamentary elections on July 22nd, Silva was able to move into the national parliament as a member of the KHUNTO party list . Here he was group leader of the KHUNTO, member of the commission for constitutional affairs, justice, public administration, local jurisprudence and the fight against corruption (commission A) and vice-chairman of the commission for foreign affairs, defense and national security (commission b). In the early elections in 2018 , Silva was in 29th place in the Aliança para Mudança e Progresso (AMP), to which KHUNTO also belongs, and came back to parliament. On June 14th, Silva was elected second Vice President of Parliament.
