Lucas Neff

Lucas Neff (born November 7, 1985 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American film and television actor and film producer .

Life

Lucas Neff was born in 1985 as the eldest of two sons of Alan Neff, a lawyer, and Meade Palidofsky, a theater director. He grew up in Andersonville , a suburb of Chicago. After graduating from Whitney M. Young Magnet High School in 2004, he graduated from the University of Chicago , where he, actually unintentionally, graduated from the acting agency. Neff gained his first experience as an actor in smaller Chicago theaters. At the Steppenwolf Theater he also met the actress Martha Plimpton , who was instrumental in Neff's breakthrough. In 2008 he obtained his university degree.

Neff got his first film role in 2009 as a guest actor on the short-lived television series The Beast alongside Patrick Swayze . In 2010, with the support of Martha Plimpton - who played his series mother - he got the role of Jimmy Chance in the television series Raising Hope . By 2014, Neff was in front of the camera in 88 episodes.

Neff has been trying to gain a foothold in show business as a film producer since 2014. After producing the 13-minute short film Unknown Unknown , he produced the full-length comedy Glitch in 2015 .

Lucas Neff was briefly engaged to actress Kelly O'Sullivan .
