Luciano Doria
Luciano Doria (actually Romolo Augusto Gizzi , born November 30, 1891 in Rome , † May 10, 1961 ibid) was an Italian journalist and film director and producer .
Life
Doria was a journalist by training and was active in the silent film era for Tiber Film as a prolific screenwriter , including for Gennaro Righelli and Baldassarre Negroni . In 1920 he founded the bi-monthly publication "Fortunio" with Nunzio Malasomma and made his debut as a director; until 1925 he regularly directed several films.
After 1925 he turned increasingly to poetry and stories as well as plays - with Aldo De Benedetti , for example, he wrote the play “Colui il quale”. For the cinema he was active again from 1936, mostly in the role of producer.
