Lucius Acilius
Lucius Acilius was a Roman legal scholar . He was a contemporary of the elder Cato . In Laelius' work on friendship , Cicero gives him the nickname Sapiens and counts him among veteres interpretes of the Twelve Tables law . In the digests he is called Publius Acilius . Possibly he is identical with the eponymous praetor of the year 197 BC mentioned in Livius (32, 27, 7) . Chr.
