Lucius Aradius Valerius Proculus
Lucius Aradius Valerius Proculus signo Populonius was a Roman politician of late antiquity and consul in 340.
Proculus derived its origin from the old Patrician gens Valeria , from the branch of Valerii Poblicolae . He was represented in numerous colleges of priests. So he was Augur , Pontifex , Quindecimvir and Pontifex Flavialis. But he also had numerous political functions. He was praetor tutelaris , governor of the province of Numidia , responsible for the census in Gallaecia , governor of Byzacena , of "Europe and Thrace" and, in 319, proconsul of the province of Africa , while at the same time performing the function of praefectus praetorio over the African provinces. He was then comes in the Palatium and city prefect of Rome from March 10, 337 to January 13, 338. He became consul for the year 340. After that he was city prefect for the second time from December 18, 351 to September 9, 352.
