Ludwig Altig

Ludwig Altig (born September 1, 1926 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Ludwig Altig began his career in 1939 at VfR Mannheim . At the end of 1946, he moved up in the 1946/47 season in the squad of the first team that played in the then first-class Oberliga Süd and took 12th place. In his second league round in 1947/48, the lawn players improved to eighth place and Altig was one of the VfR regulars with 37 league appearances and four goals, as was Rudolf de la Vigne (36-21). When the blue-white-reds were able to win the runner-up in the Oberliga Süd under coach "Bumbes" Schmidt in the 1948/49 season , Altig completed 16 league games and scored two goals. But he was not used in the overwhelming triumph in the final round of the German soccer championship . By 1950 Altig had played 82 league games for Mannheim and scored eleven goals. Then he let his career at FC Lübbecke end.
