Ludwig Lankl

Ludwig Lankl (born June 4, 1956 in Wolfersreut ) is a German CSU politician. From May 1, 2008 to April 30, 2014 he was District Administrator of the Freyung-Grafenau district .

Political career

Public offices

Ludwig Lankl was on the Ringelai council from 1984 to 1993 . From 1993 to 2008 he was mayor of Ringelai. Between 1996 and 2008 he was a member of the district council of the Freyung-Grafenau district. From 2002 to 2008 he was deputy district administrator. In the local elections on March 2, 2008, he achieved the best result of the four applicants with 43.75%, a narrow margin over incumbent District Administrator Alexander Muthmann . In the necessary runoff election on March 16, 2008, he clearly won with 59.4% of the vote. In 2014, for health reasons, he no longer applied for re-election as district administrator and ran successfully in the district election.

From 2005 to 2011 Ludwig Lankl was party chairman of the CSU in Freyung-Grafenau.

Ludwig Lankl is the chairman of the district association of Lebenshilfe and the village and operational helpers in Freyung-Grafenau. He is the vice chairman of the Gabreta Association, a replica of a Celtic village in his home parish. He also works as a lay judge at the Passau Regional Court. In 2009 he was elected as district administrator, traditionally chairman of the BRK district association Freyung-Grafenau and succeeded his predecessor Alexander Muthmann.

Ludwig Lankl is married and has four children.
