Alfons Urban

Alfons Urban (born April 10, 1936 in Regelsmais ) is a German CSU politician .

Alfons Urban attended elementary school in Michelsneukirchen , the Marist high school in Furth near Landshut and the Marist high school in Mindelheim , where he graduated from high school. He studied mathematics and physics at the University of Munich and passed the examination for teaching at secondary schools. After preparing for the teaching post at secondary schools in Munich and Marktoberdorf , he taught at the state secondary schools in Grafenau and Zwiesel , where he was also the permanent representative of the headmaster.

In 1972 Urban became a councilor in the municipality of Sankt Oswald-Riedlhütte . In 1978 he became deputy district administrator in the Freyung-Grafenau district , and in 1990 he was elected the first district administrator there. As a result, he had to resign from the Landtag mandate he had won in 1986 as a directly elected member of the Freyung-Grafenau constituency . He held the office of district administrator until 2002.

He is widowed and has three children.
