Ludwig Neuer

Ludwig Neuer (born March 3, 1891 in Eberbach ; † October 16, 1953 ibid) was a German architect , manufacturer and politician .

Life

Ludwig Neuer graduated from high school in Mannheim and studied architecture at the universities of Karlsruhe and Munich from 1910 to 1914 . During his studies in 1910 he became a member of the Karlsruhe fraternity of Teutonia . During the First World War , Neuer volunteered and was awarded the Iron Cross First Class.

After the war he returned to Eberbach and became a partner in the Neuer furniture factory, which belonged to his father. In 1929 he became a full-time freelance architect. After the death of his brother Friedrich in 1937, he took over sole management of his father's company. During the Second World War he was the new captain of the arms inspection. After the war he resumed his previous professional activities.

Political and voluntary activities

After the First World War, Neuer co-founded the German National People's Party in Eberbach. He represented the party in the citizens' committee and later in the city council. Furthermore, he was chairman of the tourist association for many years and was made its honorary chairman.
