history
In 1885, the master plumber Ludwig Pieper founded a trading company with his wife Johanna. In addition to the stationary sales in Saarlouis, markets in the area were initially visited. In 1898 the couple bought a corner house on the Great Market in Saarlouis. Since then, after repeated renovations and extensions, the company's headquarters have been located there. In the course of time, other shops were added to the parent company in Saarlouis: a bookstore in the historic headquarters and a sports store. The company is in the fourth generation of family ownership. To supply the in-house delicatessen department, it operates its own butcher and confectionery .
