Ludwig Wolff (politician)

Ludwig Wolff (born February 3, 1859 in Sypień near Lowitsch , Congress Poland ; † 1923 ) was a German politician and member of the German minority in Poland in the Sejm of the Second Polish Republic . Wolff was elected as a representative of the German People's Party (DVP) in the Polish National Constituent Assembly (1919–1922) . On November 1, 1919, he resigned his mandate in favor of Oscar Friese .

Wolff was a graduate of the German teacher training college in Warsaw and Lodz . From 1911 to 1914 Wolff, who was a well-known teacher, was the headmaster of a German-speaking coeducational school with six departments in Żyrardów . In the First World War he was exiled to Russia . At the beginning of 1919 Wolff became head of the Łódź state teacher training college with German as the language of instruction, but in October of the same year he had to give up this post and was then a teacher again.

His son was the SS leader Ludwig Wolff (1908–1988).
