Ludwig von Thierstein

Ludwig von Thierstein († October 10, 1402 in Pfäffikon SZ ) was demonstrably abbot of Einsiedeln from August 14, 1387 .

Ludwig belonged to the Thierstein family . The Counts of Thierstein, also Counts of Homberg, were of great importance in northwestern Switzerland in the Middle Ages . In the first half of the 14th century, the Thierstein-Farnsburg and Thierstein-Pfeffingen lines separated.
